Prozdor Burger

A big hello to all my fellow hungry eaters out there!

This is my first “Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv” blog review. Without any further hesitation, let’s talk about the burger and other food that I ate.

First off, I’ve got a confession to make… I’m a burger guy. I have been to countless burger restaurants in my life. Not just in Tel Aviv, but even in other countries as well. From my experience, finding a good burger is not an easy task. The meat must be cooked properly in order for it to be enjoyable. It takes a highly experienced person at the grill to know the exact moment the burger is ready to be placed on the bun. This is the skill that quite a few chefs seem to lack the most.

“Prozdor” Burger considered by many to be one of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv, so I went with high expectations to check it out on a Saturday night.

the place:

The restaurant is designed like an American dinner, with pleasant and light music. As I mentioned, I was there on a Saturday night, so the restaurant was full and the place was a little crowded.

The table was large enough and the chairs were quite comfortable, even for a tall man like myself (1.85).

The toilets were small, unattractive, and really uncomfortable. In addition, there were very few of them.

My score for the place –  6/10

the TASTE:

For appetizers we ordered sweet potato fries (NIS 22) and onion rings (NIS 26).

The fries were soft, delicious, and crispy. I couldn’t help but want more. The fries were long gone and it only took about five minutes to eat them up.

The onion rings were heavy and simply redundant. I would not recommend you order them.

It should be noted that the two portions were large enough for three people.

My score for the appetizers – 7/10

And now to talk about what we came here for.

The menu has 21 different kinds of burgers! Don’t clean your screen. You read those numbers right. My jaw dropped the very minute I learned that they had so many different burgers.

I ordered the 330 gram “Ruban Navy” ( no idea what it means and this is part of it).

The taste of the burger, combined with the Swiss cheese, is fantastic. An excellent combination of ground beef (which comes cooked medium rare, unless you ask otherwise) tastes good and the cheese is melted on top of it. Served with a smoky corned beef, it all combines for a delicious burger.

The only thing I did not like was the bottom bun, which got soggy. It collapsed under the burden of all the condiments.

In conclusion, I can say that THE PROZDOR burger in terms of taste, is one of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv. This is especially true for those who are burger lovers like me.

My score for the burger – 8/10

DESSERTS

After a heavy meal, I ordered two desserts: Chocolate Brownie with Chocolate and Whipped Cream and a Banana Split.

They can be summed up in one word – disappointment.

The brownies were dry and dense and the banana split was sparse and unappealing.

In conclusion, I simply gave up on the desserts.

My score for the desserts – 4/10

service and price:

The service was courteous and good. They were always with a smile, despite their workload.

The burger arrived 20 minutes after I ordered it.

The price was reasonable for the taste and the culinary experience.

a quick summary:

I recommend the lunch menu. It includes fries, drinks, and a hamburger (Sundays to Thursdays 12:30 – 17:30).

My Total Score for Prozdor burger is 7.5/10!
